Managing Burnout with Boundaries

It’s not just a work thing. It’s an entire life thing. It seems like we all have no much to do and catch up on from being idle for 2 years.


As the world heads into the 3rd year of the pandemic, these stressors have become persistent and indefinite, heightening everyone's risk of burnout.


In a Deloitte survey, 77% employees say they have experienced burnout at their current job. 91% say that unmanageable stress or frustration impacts the quality of their work, and 83% say burnout can negatively impact personal relationships.


But no one is measuring the personal life burnout. That’s right. It’s a thing. Making up time to be present at your kids school 📚, joining all the parents night out activities, using all those travel credits and having “vacations” 🛫, date nights, seeing those relatives 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧, the list doesn’t end.


We are burning the candles from both ends. So how do we stop?


1. Create Boundaries

2. Enforce those Boundaries

3. Respect others Boundaries
